For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; that I know very well. — Psalm 139: 13-14
This Sunday, as we celebrate Mothers’ Day, we will explore the concept of Mother as the matrix of life. The word Matrix is related to the Latin word for mother and womb. Today, the use of the word matrix can be understood to include any nurturing or supportive setting or substance. This matrix pattern carries with it a transcendent representation, of that which is maternal, creative, eternal, and transcendent. Join us as we praise her mighty wonders!
