On March 20, 2022, the WRCC UCC Church Council voted to lift the COVID mask and social distance requirements for our church. This decision was based on current recommendations by the CDCthe Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and Jefferson County. We understand that some people may not agree, feel safe, or feel ready to lift these restrictions. We support you and encourage you to continue with whatever level of safety precautions fits your needs. If you would like to attend via Zoom, please complete the Contact Us form to request access instructions.

June 26 Pride Sunday

Open and Affirming Church
A prayer of affirmation by Kimi Floyd Reisch with the ONA Coalition
O God, your child Jesus taught us to welcome each other, but welcome is so often absent in this world. To truly welcome each other means to see your holy Presence in each other. God, help us to commit to affirm all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender people, and other identities, welcoming them and affirming them as your beloved creations. We know that until we are all free, none of us can be free, and in your Name we commit to co-creating that world of welcome and affirmation until all people can access that promise. Amen.

June 12 Worship & Picnic in the Park

Our annual CHURCH PICNIC resumes! It will be held at Morse Park, 20th and Carr in Lakewood, on Sunday, June 12. All are invited to bring a dish to share. There will be no services at the church that day. It is also Trinity Sunday and pastor Claudia and David Conner will have a dialogue sermon on the Trinity.

June 5 Pentecost and Communion Sunday

Our PastorThe Holy Spirit of Pentecost isn’t simply about recalling some wonderful wild religious occasion that set into motion the first Christian movement, but it asks us to discern, where is the Spirit today, where is it in our own lives, what new fire of enthusiasm is blowing into the world and in your heart? What if Pentecost isn’t something that happened a long ago, but something that each generation has the opportunity to experience? What if that movement from isolation to community is one that we all have to claim for ourselves? What if Pentecost isn’t a historical event, but rather the ongoing story of the people of God? Come and celebrate this special Sunday.
