God saw everything that God had made, and indeed, it was very good. — Genesis 1:31
One of the interesting aspects of the Genesis creation story is that, throughout the narrative in Genesis 1, we have an affirmation of the goodness of creation. God doesn’t only say that it is good, but that it is very good. This Sunday, as we observe Earth Day Sunday, we will reaffirm this goodness and our responsibility to take care of the precious Earth.
