Shall I open the womb and not deliver? says the Lord; shall I, the one who delivers, shut the womb? — Isaiah 66: 9
This Sunday is the Third Sunday in Advent. Advent is a season of waiting, trusting, and perceiving that God is bringing forth new possibility not only in the birth of Jesus, but in all of our lives, and even the world. We are reminded in the Christmas story, however, that birth doesn’t always happen in the ways we expect and plan. Often birth happens in the strangest of places and circumstances. This Sunday, we will explore how we can embrace the new birth in our own lives, even the strange places.
