Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Be restored; listen to my appeal; agree with one another; live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. — 2 Corinthians 2: 11-13

This Sunday, we celebrate Trinity and Holy Communion Sunday. The word “Trinity” was invented by the early Christians in an effort to understand the mysterious nature of God, who, although is One in nature, was experienced as three divine Persons. The concept of the Trinity can be confusing, limited, and even doctrinaire, but it gives us a basis to deepen our understanding of God. This Sunday, we celebrate how we can experience the Trinity and expand our understanding of the Ultimate through the ritual of Communion.
