When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly from heaven there came a sound like the rush of a violent wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. Divided tongues, as of fire, appeared among them, and a tongue rested on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other languages, as the Spirit gave them ability. — Acts 2: 1-4

This Sunday we celebrate Pentecost! The event of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit sets in motion the entire future of the Christian movement; a fiery movement, established in an experience of Christ’s love, liberation, redemption. This breath of God literally gives the disciples of Christ a new life and energy, and sends them out into the world. Where do you see the breath of God in the world today? This Sunday we will explore how God is still breath life and spirit into the world.
